Ctrl Alt Shift is a documentary showing interviews and works from The Light Surgeons, D-Fuse, Hexstatic, VJ Anyone, Addictive TV, Vector Meldrew, and Fatamorgana. It shows their perspective of VJ-ing, it’s context and contributes to the ever on going discussion: Is it Art?
Ctrl Alt Shift is a documentary that explores VJ culture. Looking at VJing, Audio Visual works and live performance cinema. The documentary was filmed in various locations within the U.K including London, Leeds, Bloc music festival, Cornwall and more!
The project has incorporated a range of mediums including film, digital video, pure data, animation and photography.
The documentary was made by Simon Lane and Dean G Moore as a final project for their broadcasting degree. Dean is a VJ himself and Simon is a music producer/DJ and sound designer. The documentary will be performed as an Audio Visual piece.
The documentary is an informative piece that incorporates elements of VJing, AV and live performance.
